Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, was introduced last year as the big baddie in Marvel's Daredevil Season One. He also made a surprise return this year during the Netflix show's second season. And since the character isn't dead, but living a very comfortable life behind bars, many have been speculating that he’ll show up next year in Marvel's The Defenders.
However, while interacting with fans on Twitter recently, the 57-year-old actor confirmed that Kingpin will not appear in the crossover miniseries, which has been filming for a while now in New York City. When a fan asked whether there was any chance that he would be on The Defenders, D'Onofrio responded with a straightforward "No chance!" Here's the tweet for you!

Kingpin might have become popular as the archenemy of Daredevil, but he was originally introduced in 1967 as a Spider-Man nemesis by Stan Lee and John Romita, Sr. Since the webslinger has already arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Tom Holland playing the part, there’s some speculation about Kingpin facing off with Spidey in a future movie.
While Vincent D'Onofrio once said that it would be "awesome" to get the chance to "kick Spider-Man's butt", he didn't seem to believe it was possible anymore. When a fan insisted that he might play Kingpin in Spider-Man: Homecoming or any of its sequels, the actor said "Nope." In response to another fan question, he explained that his chances of appearing in an MCU movie are slim, because that portion is "already jam packed". Check out his tweets below!

So, what's next for Kingpin? Well, D'Onofrio claimed that he was sure that the character's journey wasn't over, but he didn’t know when and where we might see him next. At the moment, it seems like the character could return in either the third season of Marvel's Daredevil or the first season of Marvel's The Punisher. Here's the tweet!
