With Scott Buck as the showrunner, Marvel's Iron Fist kicked off its production earlier this month. The Marvel Cinematic Universe series, which is expected to arrive on Netflix in the first half of next year, features Finn Jones as the titular superhero, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, and David Wenham as Harold Meachum.
Now, the studio has officially completed the Marvel's Iron Fist cast roster of series regulars with the addition of two more actors: The Following star Jessica Stroup and Banshee star Tom Pelphrey. While Jessica will play Joy Meachum, Tom will portray her brother, Ward Meachum. As you might have guessed already, they are the children of Harold Meachum.
According to the official description, Joy and Ward "have spent their lives building Rand Enterprises to its current standing in the world, only to have all their work put in jeopardy when Danny returns to claim his birthright."
The showrunner suggests that Marvel's Iron Fist will discover along the way that Joy and Ward have "intriguing secrets of their own". Marvel Television head honcho Jeph Loeb claims that the two characters will make Danny Rand's mission "a lot more complicated" in the series.
Apart from starring on The Following, Jessica Stroup is also known for her performance as Erin Silver on 90210. The 29-year-old actress is also regarded as a "scream queen", due to her appearances in numerous horror movies, including Prom Night, Vampire Bats, and Left in Darkness.
Tom Pelphrey first came into the spotlight with his performance as Jonathan Randall on Guiding Light. The 33-year-old actor has also been a series regular on As the World Turns.
