After casting four major characters over the past couple of weeks, Marvel's Inhumans rounded out its cast roster today by adding a number of actors as the remaining key characters.
Already-confirmed cast members include Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, and Ken Leung as Karnak. The upcoming ABC series’ Inhumans Royal Family will also include Gorgon, Crystal, and Triton, and Marvel has now officially announced who will play these and other roles.
The newly added cast members are Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish, Mike Moh, Sonya Balmores, and Ellen Woglom. Check out the casting details and official character descriptions below.
Eme Ikwuakor: Gorgon!
Ikwuakor’s credits include small-screen ventures such as We Are Angels, Extant, and How to Get Away with Murder. In The Inhumans, he’ll play Gorgon, ruler Black Bolt’s cousin and leader of Attilan's military in the TV show:
With super strong legs, complete with hooves, he can generate destructive seismic waves with a single stomp. The yin to his cousin Karnak's yang, Gorgon would rather fight than talk to solve his problems.
Isabelle Cornish: Crystal!
The 22-year-old Aussie actress starred in Home and Away and Puberty Blues and has been in the running for a lead role in Transformers: Age of Extinction. She’ll portray Crystal in the upcoming superhero drama. The character is the sister of Medusa, the Queen of Attilan. For the Inhumans series, she’s described as follows:
Crystal is the youngest member of the royal family and has the ability to control the elements. Impetuous and independent, she is also deeply devoted to her family.
Mike Moh: Triton!
The actor, who played Ryu in Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist and Steve Cho in Empire, will portray Black Bolt's cousin Triton in the Inhumans. Here's the official description for Moh's character:
He's calm under pressure and supremely athletic. His gift is his fish-like ability to live underwater.
Sonya Balmores: Auran!
The Miss Teen USA 2004 runner-up went on to star in The N's Beyond the Break and the biopic Soul Surfer, and now she’ll play Auran in the upcoming ABC series. Auran may not be a member of Inhumans Royal Family, but she’s definitely a badass character:
Head of the Royal Guards on Attilan, a capable and no-nonsense woman. She is fiercely loyal to the King of Attilan.
Ellen Woglom: Undisclosed Character!
The actress, who is known for her roles in NBC's Outlaw and Showtime's Californication, will be playing a so far unidentified character. Marvel describes Woglom's character as smart, intense, and focused. At times, she’s so focused that her social skills take a back seat.
Her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She's primed to be swept up in an adventure.
Lockjaw will appear in Marvel's Inhumans!
Marvel’s announcement also confirmed that the fan-favorite Inhuman bulldog will indeed show up in the series, and describes Lockjaw as follows:
Crystal's 2,000-pound canine companion; he is a two-thousand-pound dog (yes, a dog!) with the ability to teleport.
