Luke Cage: Mike Colter Thinks Barack Obama Would Make a Great Villain!

Mike Colter wants Barack Obama to cameo as a villain in Luke Cage Season 3!

If Netflix opts to renew Marvel's Luke Cage for a third season, star Mike Colter would love to have Barack Obama make an appearance as a villain.

After President Obama and wife Michelle Obama sealed a multi-year production deal with Netflix, Colter paused in LA International Airport to chat with TMZ about the series. During that conversation, Colter addressed the possibility that the former US president might appear in Luke Cage Season 3:

I think he could cameo in anything he wants to. He has an open door for anywhere he wants to go, I think.

Asked how he would entice Obama to make an appearance on the Luke Cage set, Colter came up with an interesting pitch:

We shoot in Harlem; we got a lot of good places to eat. He can come and do a cameo, and we can have a bite to eat.

Colter apparently isn’t interested in having Obama on Luke Cage’s side, however. He told TMZ that he felt that the esteemed former president would be an excellent antagonist:

I don’t know, man, he might have to change it up. He’s been a hero a long time, maybe he can be a villain this time.

Both the first and second seasons of Luke Cage received excellent reviews. If audience response is found to be just as positive, it follows that Netflix wouldn’t hesitate to greenlight a third season. We’ll have to wait and see whether Obama shows any interest in playing a supervillain!
