While attending the red carpet event for Netflix's second season of Daredevil, Mike Colter revealed when the fans will get to see Luke Cage in his solo series. And, as previously believed, the first season will debut in the second half of this year.
And this reveal was quite surprising, since not even the interviewer expected it. How will the first season be? As Mike Colter said, it will be action packed from the beginning until the end, and the fans will be able to binge-watch it on the 30th of September.

While his own solo series will be released this year, Mike Colter also guest-starred on Jessica Jones as the indestructible Luke Cage. And the biggest question, at this moment, is what was he doing at this red carpet event? We cannot say that all the stars of the Netflix series were present, since Krysten Ritter wasn't there. So can we expect a special appearance from Luke Cage in Daredevil?
It is very unlikely, since Daredevil has already welcomed another superhero (who, apparently, will be the main antagonist for the better part of the season). But maybe we should take a cameo from Mike Colter into account.
What is known, though, about the Netflix version of Luke Cage? Not too much. Apparently, Luke Cage will head back to Harlem in order to deal with some past issues that have resurfaced. The main villain appears to be Cottonmouth (portrayed by Mahershala Ali) - in the comics, he had super-strength and even stronger neck and jaw muscles, paired with sharpened teeth.
The supporting cast is completed by Alfre Woodard (as Mariah Dillard), Simone Missick (as Misty Knight), Theo Rossi (as Shades, a second antagonist), Sonia Braga (as the mother of Claire Temple, who appeared in both Daredevil and Jessica Jones), and Frank Whaley (as Rafael Scarfe).
