Marvel has kept their television universe superhero-free with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and the upcoming Agent Carter also seems to promise nothing different. What definitely promises to Marvel's superhero fans is the introduction o f the visually impaired superhero on Netflix. We already know Stardust's Tristan Thorne cast Charlie Cox will play the title role in this Marvel-Netflix venture and that the series will debut in May 2015. Now, we have something more in store for you, and that are stills from the series revealing for the first time the costume of the superhero.
Daredevil Costume Unalike The Comic Book
The printed version of this week's "˜Entertainment Weekly' published an article along with the above two stills. The couple of photos actually reveal how Charlie Cox will look like as both Daredevil and his alter-ego Matt Murdock. The black Daredevil costume in the photo seems very distinct from the signature red suit of the superhero in the comic books. However, it may be assumed that the blind superhero will ultimately emerge in a more comic book like suit as the series progresses.
Jeph Loeb On How Daredevil Is Going To Be
The article that was published along with the photos presents quotations of Marvel's Head of Television Jeph Loeb on the series. The comic world legend says that Daredevil's going to be a crime drama first, with the superhero stuff at the backseat. Many fans might be worried about the show turning out to be an adult one as Steven S. DeKnight has been appointed as the show-runner, whose previous creation was Spartacus which contains extreme violence and nudity to a great extent. Loeb admitted that the series will be a little rough and edgier than Marvel's previous ventures, but there won't be scenes of extreme violence or needless nudity.
How do you look up to the new Daredevil stills? Excited or not, don't forget sharing your views, guys!
