The first two seasons of Marvel's Daredevil have been outstanding, and the fans have been left with pretty much nothing to complain about. The only complaint that might sound a bit reasonable is that neither of the seasons introduced the iconic nemesis - The Man Without Fear, Bullseye.
There are a lot of people who would love to see the psychopathic assassin appear in the Netflix series, Charlie Cox included. Earlier this year, the British actor said that he "can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point".
Now, during a Q&A panel at Wizard World Convention in Pittsburgh (via Screen Geek), Cox once again shares his yearning to see the supervillain in the series. He says:
It's no secret, I've said it before, and I get in trouble every time I say it, (but) I'd like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point. I think it's a really interesting opportunity. Deborah Ann Woll obviously does not want Bullseye to show up, for obvious reasons. Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn't want Bullseye to show up, either.
Those who are not familiar with the comics must be scratching their heads about why Deborah Ann Woll and Elodie Yung would have a problem with this particular character appearing in Daredevil. Well, in separate comic book issues, Bullseye has killed both Woll's Karen Page and Yung's Elektra. So, the supervillain's introduction to the series would increase the possibility of both characters dying!
While Cox has always avoided revealing who he thinks should portray Bullseye in Daredevil, Elden Henson, who portrays Foggy Nelson, claims to have heard the name that Marvel is considering for the role. He JOKINGLY says:
I actually heard they're going to cast Zach Galifianakis as Bullseye. I'm going to get in big trouble from Jeph Loeb. He's going to call me and be like, "No, dude."
Zach Galifianakis may be the last actor in the world that fans would want to see as Bullseye. We once came across a rumor that Jason Statham was being considered for the role, but that was later debunked by the actor, himself.
