The San Diego Comic Con is now over - but, boy, it was one helluva ride! Check out the most important moments below!
Obviously, the events listed in here are not in the order they actually happened"¦
Green Lantern Corps
The San Diego Comic Con brought us this big reveal, concerning the DC movie slate: the 2020 film won't be just about a single earth-originated Lantern. Instead, it will be a cosmic event, which will feature (among many others) multiple Earth-bound Lanterns.
Presumably, the movie will keep its date (19th of June, 2020), with no further information being provided. An image was shown, nonetheless, featuring a large group of Green Lanterns. Obvious, there was one taking central stage, with many fans believing that it was Chris Pine (the character's fist made it impossible for the fans to recognize the actor).
Next, three Justice League heroes!
Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Flash
The San Diego Comic Con also brought title art for Wonder Woman, both Justice League films announced, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. However, only Wonder Woman, Flash and Cyborg received separate concept art, just like the Green Lanterns Corps.
Unfortunately, there are no pics to be shown. However, Wonder Woman is presented hovering over WWII soldier, and Flash sports long dark hair. As far as Cyborg is concerned, people say that it looked awesome, just like it should (we may say).
Next, X-Men: Apocalypse panel, with the teaser description!
First look at X-Men: Apocalypse
San Diego Comic Con brought the first teaser for X-Men: Apocalypse too, one of the three major events of 2016. Bryan Singer showcased the first poster, with the titular villain looking nothing like the actor playing him (Oscar Isaac). Which is actually a great thing.
As far as the teaser is concerned, one must be aware that the movie is just half-way through its shooting. So no, the destruction of Apocalypse's coming wasn't revealed.
However, we now know who the 4 Horsemen are: Angel, Magneto, Storm, and Psylocke.
The footage begins with a Jean Grey having nightmares of an apocalyptic future, with Charles Xavier trying to calm her down. Voiceover is heard, revealing that Apocalypse has been the god of many ancient cultures.
Moira MacTaggert also appears, saying that the world changed since the existence of mutants has been revealed. In this way, many cults have appeared, seeing the mutants as signs of god - people are still searching for the first one to ever appear.
After several shots of the young X-Men, Magneto is shown in the woods, with weary soldiers - underground, he receives a visit from Storm and Apocalypse himself. He is too being recruited. More shots of the X-Men follow, until Apocalypse is yet again seen, with all his Horsemen, in the X-Men Mansion, with Magneto pulling Professor X towards him.
A shot of Professor X inside Cerebro sees him with his eyes turning black and saying he has never felt so much power before. The final shot of the teaser sees Xavier bald.
Next, what seems to be the worst superhero movie since Green Lantern
Fantastic Four
San Diego Comic Con brought this announcement: Fox did a 180 and decided not to release Fantastic Four in 3D. Obviously, this raises even more question marks about this particular movie - why isn't the studio marketing it? Why are they making such decisions 3 weeks before the movie's release?
Fantastic Four also saw the release of one final trailer, which is expected to be officially released online too, these days. However, if the other trailers from San Diego Comic Con were received with the utmost excitement, this one wasn't - and this rarely happens at such big events such as San Diego Comic Con.
In any way, it is said that new shots of Doom are shown and that the Fantastic Four are using their powers more than in the previous trailers. It was said that this new trailer focuses more on Reed Richards than on the other characters.
Also – Toby Kebbell revealed that Doom is not a hacker, as said so many times before. Fantastic Four makes no sense at all, at this moment, if we take into account what we knew and what we found out at the San Diego Comic Con.
Next, extra-details about Blade!
Blade
As said, in the first day of the San Diego Comic Con, Wesley Snipes revealed that he has talked with Marvel about resurrecting Blade - or, at least, about a new project. The actor then revealed that, "I just said that if we don't do another Blade, we have another character that's a hybrid action/comic book character that, I think if we pull that off"¦I don't know, he might put Blade to sleep." (via Screen Rant).
This sounds more and more like Blade is a goner, at least with Wesley Snipes playing him. Here's for a Blade/Punisher series on Netflix!
Next, when villains fight injustice!
Suicide Squad
The other 2016 DC movie, Suicide Squad has also been present at the San Diego Comic Con. And David Ayer was electric - the whole squad was present, except for Jared Leto (if we are to believe that he stays in character all the time, he might have tortured someone from the audience"¦ so maybe his absence was for the best).
But yeah, a teaser trailer was also shown for the movie. It began with Amanda Waller saying that Superman has changed things and has made other superpowered beings surface - and not all of them are good. The first squad members presented are Harley Quinn, Deadshot, El Diablo, and Killer Croc.
Harley asks, with an innocent voice, if Amanda Waller is the devil, as she swings from the ceiling from what seems to be her restraint jacket - cheering at the panel! Of course, many things are shown on screen (shots of Deadshot, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, and so on).
Batman appears too, on the roof of a speeding car, with Harley asking whether or not he has insurance.
The final shot features the first full look at the Joker (completed with the disliked tats), completely deranged, saying, "I'm not gonna kill ya. I'm just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad." Everybody cheered.
So yes, Jared Leto will bring something new to the role, even if some say that he is very Heath Ledger-y in his portrayal. But, again, he seems much deranged and the evil inside him isn't the chaos presented in Nolan's Dark Knight, but something else. That Joker wasn't insane when compared to this new one.
The footage won't be officially released online, the studio said. And they released it!
Next, 2016’s dark horse!
Deadpool
Comic Con, por favor? Next year's dark horse was also present at the San Diego Comic Con. It is needless to say that the footage was as violent as expected and that it made the fans cheer.
Obviously, the 4th wall was broken quite a few times, there are quite a few jokes in the footage. Here is the description, courtesy of Comic Book: "“I love you Wade Wilson,” says Vanessa. Wade sarcastically implies cancer he’ll survive cancer. A sketchy scientist tells him “We can make you better,” and claims he can make Wade a super hero Wade wants to do right by his girlfriend. He doesn’t want a green super suit though! He calls the Doctor Posh Spice and calls the nurse a “less angry Rosie O’Donnell.” Then he’s sitting on top of a bridge and attacks the men in a truck he jumps into, straight out of the previously leaked footage but with a different song, not Gwen Stefani. He opens a window in a sideways truck and talks the men with guns pointing at him, saying, “This guy’s got the right idea, he wore the brown pants!” He kills them all, then Colossus smacks him into a car. Negasonic Teenage Warhead introduces herself and Deadpool says, “What the sh–! That’s gotta be the coolest name ever!” “F— Liefeld” says Deadpool. Weasel makes jokes about Reynolds f—ed up face and Wade claims to look “like a testicle with teeth.” DMX plays the whole time. Deadpool twists off of a car and kills three guys with one bullet before sniffing the smoke from his guns and saying, “I’m touching myself tonight.”"
What more can be said? The Deadpool footage was announced to be officially released online in 3 weeks or so.
Next, what happens when you ask fans to put pressure on a studio?
Hellboy III
What happens when fans demand a Deadpool movie? Fox comes and does it. What happens when fans and Ron Perlman daydream about Hellboy III? Well, San Diego Comic Con brought this upsetting news: the star of the Hellboy series was scolded by the studio. Which sucks.
Next, the main event of the San Diego Comic Con!
Batman v Superman - the main event of San Diego Comic Con 2015
In the absence of Marvel, DC's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has filled the Hall H and has captured the attention of everybody. Check out the trailer in here, as well as the trailer breakdown in here.

San Diego Comic Con - the studios are upset
Just like in recent years, the footage for almost all the movies wasn't released online by the studios. However, the fans did film with their cell phones and leaked them. Which has infuriated the studios - does this mean that we won't get any more footage at future San Diego Comic Con events?
It sure sounds so. Check out the videos below, with the panels for the most expected movies coming from both Fox and DC!
