Though The Flash hasn't returned to the small screen, speculations on what is about to come has kept him on the go among the fans. We know that the speedy superhero is coming back to the CW on 20 January, 2015. The midseason premiere episode bears the title "˜Revenge of The Rogues'. WENTWORTH MILLER AND DOMINIC PURCELL ("PRISON BREAK") TEAM UP AGAIN AS CAPTAIN COLD AND HEAT WAVE CHALLENGE THE FLASH TO AN EPIC BATTLE "” Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) returns to Central City with a new hotheaded partner in tow - Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave (guest star Dominic Purcell). The duo plan to steal a multi-million dollar painting, but Cold has another agenda while in town - to set a trap for The Flash. Snart and Mick kidnap someone close to The Flash and threaten to kill them unless The Flash shows up for a battle of fire and ice. Barry tells Joe (Jesse L. Martin) he isn't sure he should take on Snart again after the casualties that happened the last time they fought. Meanwhile, Barry asks Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to help him double his training efforts so he's ready for the Reverse Flash when he returns to Central City. Well, we had been hearing about Captain Cold and Heat Wave appearing in the January return episode, so it isn't something new, rather just an official confirmation. What stands new is the topic of the "˜someone close' whom Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will kidnap! "˜Fashion & Style' claims this person to be Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow.
Another question that arises with the official synopsis is how the CW series is going to present Dr. Harrison Wells when The Flash asks him for help in his training to face the Reverse Flash after what we saw in the ending minutes of the midseason finale episode. Will we have the character with some devilish smile and all that? Well, we'll definitely have to wait for all that to reveal till 20 January.
