DC is bringing back the Batman Day - celebrating 75 years since the birth of the Dark Knight! And they should do it so, since he is now the best known superhero of all times, having brought to the fans the most compelling storylines and the most awesome comic book moments.
So yes, the Dark Knight truly deserves to be celebrated - and while he isn't the only one, we are more than certain that more superheroes will follow.
Dark Knight Day
Officially called Batman Day, this Dark Knight celebration will take place on the 26th of September, in what has become an annual event. And the best thing about it all is that this celebration isn't constrained to one single location!
All the fans, all over the world, can participate, by visiting select comic book stores, where all sorts of surprises will be waiting for them. Sure enough, we can also expect for a major event to be organized in a single location.
However, if you are a Dark Knight fan (and we cannot think of a reason why you wouldn't be), just go to a select comic book store and you may find in there DC artists such as Scott Snyder and Grant Morrison, as well as many others.
This isn’t all!
This isn't all
This isn't all, since the annual Dark Knight celebration will include special events for all the media in which Batman has appeared: comic books, TV shows, games, big screen movies, and so on.
Furthermore, since this is a pretty round number (75 years), DC also plans to re-release iconic comic books. Obviously, the first issue everybody is thinking about is the Detective Comics Special Edition #27, in which the Dark Knight made his first appearance.
Rest assured, if you go to any of the select stores which will be announced, you will get a free copy of this issue, as well as many others.
