So we will have another reboot of Spider-Man in 2017 - and it is just fine with us, especially since Marvel will be at the reins (in some way). The casting is already done, with the new web crawler expected to be announced in a matter of days, the introduction will be made during the Civil War, so what else do we need?
Well, here are a couple of ideas of what Marvel should do with Spider-Man (or, at least, shouldn't do).
No more Green Goblin
Sure enough, the Green Goblin is the most iconic supervillain from the Spider-Man rogue gallery. And while we would love to see Matthew McConaughey becoming Norman Osborn, enough is enough!
Each of the previous franchises has starred this villain, in a way setting the Spider-Man universes. Maybe Marvel should just focus on someone else, on some other iconic villains.
Sure enough, we would want to see Vincent D’Onofrio back again as the Kingpin. But we doubt that this will happen. However"¦

Venom
We can say that we only caught a glimpse of Venom, although this would be an overstatement. No, we want the real Venom, the one that actually posed a threat to Peter Parker. We don't want some generic character, introduced in the movie just because.
And we want this Venom to be big and frightening. And not to reveal underneath a wimpy "˜70's kid"¦ And you know what this can bring? This can bring some Carnage into the Spider-Man universe too!

No more love interests for Spider-Man
While we wouldn't mind seeing Black Cat on the silver screens for the first time, we really don't want to see Peter Parker involved again in a relationship. And not just because we saw him in the previous franchises too, but also because there are other paths which should be explored.
Furthermore, in this day and age, we really don't believe that a nerdy kid could get the hottest girl in the high school. Yeah, it sounds cool and uplifting, but still (obviously, Marvel will do it nonetheless, because Disney).
What if this romantic subplots were completely removed? We believe that more time will be given to other characters. Such as the villains, who are so bland with Marvel. Or maybe they could use the spare time to develop other characters, who would play an important part in the MCU"¦
Speaking of which"¦

Kraven
Sure enough, it would have made a lot more sense to have Kraven in the Spider-Man universe, back when Sony was still in charge (not that it isn't any longer"¦). You know why? Because Kraven would have had a reason to come to chase Spider-Man, since the web crawler was the only known superhero in the world (the Sony Spider-Man universe).
But then again, that's why Marvel is so great - because it finds ways of introducing new characters and adapting new storylines for the big screens. So we are certain that they can find a way to make Kraven pop in New York"¦
Kraven now has lots of hunting to do in the MCU. And Spider-Man might just be his most challenging prey…

Mysterio
You can say that there are more iconic villains in the Spider-Man rogue gallery than this one. And you may be right. However, we've had the Lizard, we've had Octopus, we've had almost all the greats.
And you know what makes Mysterio so great? The fact that he is an illusionist! In this way, a Spider-Man movie could feature any kind of setting - robots (maybe even the Spider-Slayers), aliens (a visit from the friendly Chitauri), evil Gods and whatnot.
Of course, we are also keeping in mind that Doctor Strange will be released in 2016, a year before the release of Spider-Man"¦ So you do the math!

Poor Uncle Ben…
Come on, the guy died twice already (3 times, if we consider the rewritten history of Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man 3). Marvel should give the guy a rest…
Just like it should not punish the fans with yet another iteration of the web-crawler’s origins…
