There is nothing funny about truth and justice – and Manchester Black and his Elite could be brought into the DCEU to demonstrate that. Thus, the end of Batman v Superman revealed that the Man of Steel is now a hero. Metropolis (and the world) are left to the mercy of the villains.

The Elite intervenes and shows the world how Superman should have dealt with all villains – basically, they are the DCEU’s Batman taken to the extreme. So, when Superman eventually returns, they want to show the world why their way is the best way.

Obviously, a big part of Batman v Superman was dedicated to answering this question: who decides when superpowers must be used? However, I do believe that the death of Superman has, partially, answered that.

A heroic Superman is what the world needs. And it is also what the DCEU lacks at this moment. The Elite could bring him.
