Ewan McGregor
Back when Guillermo del Toro revealed that he was working on a Justice League Dark script, the name of Ewan McGregor was the only one to be mentioned. It wasn’t revealed, however, which role Warner Bros. wanted him for. But I guess it is safe to assume that it was Etrigan the Demon.
Ewan McGregor has the acting chops to portray such a dark character. I am not talking about the Star Wars prequels, for which he is best known.
Besides the skills, he actually looks the part. He’s got the accent, the hair looks alright, what more does he need? Sure, this casting would ignite some of the fans on the web. But it isn’t as if he is the first one to meet such a response.
Ewan McGregor will reprise the role which made him famous in the sequel for Trainspotting. I don’t know about late sequels and how they will perform – but I would definitely watch him as John Constantine in Justice League Dark.
