The Dark Knight Returns – the fitting end for the Joker

This has to be done – we’ve seen it already in the animation, but we want to see it on the silver screens too. And if Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is indeed based mostly on The Dark Knight Returns, who is to say that in a future Batman flick the Joker won’t die this way?

After posoning some kids and coming to blows with the Dark Knight, the villain found the best way of defeating the hero: by killing himself. Of course, the Joker cannot win in a fistfight against the Batman – so, with his last breaths, he snapped his own neck. Where is the victory in that? Now everybody believes that Batman is a killer.

So which of these dark Joker moments could and should make it on the silver screens? Did we forget any?
