Colossus and the X-Men

As previously stated, Deadpool and the X-Men share the same universe. If the team has its base in New York, the former resides in Detroit – a city with a beautiful landscape, but which falls apart when inspected closer (just like Deadpool, who is completely unf**kable under his mask). In the movie, Negasonic Teenage Warhead is a trainee of Colossus – who is, for the moment, the only X-Men member to be featured in the flick (we still expect a cameo from Wolverine, given the fact that he is also a Weapon X experiment and Hugh Jackman also took part in the 12 days of Deadpool teasing).

In the trailer, Colossus looks simply awesome – much more rugged and much bigger than the Daniel Cudmore version. He doesn’t want to impress and he just does things which attest his power – throwing a gigantic tire at some evil minions (in X2, Bryan Singer showed his power by making him carry a giant TV – without any purpose).

But why is he there? We have no clue, other than the fact that the X-Men are concerned about Deadpool’s actions. As the director revealed, Colossus is the main protagonist of a big action sequence in the third act.
