While Anthony Mackie was set on making jokes about his experience while shooting the Civil War, he did say something very interesting. According to him, the Avengers don't actually choose sides. The actor said that the conflict is more between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark "“ the rest of the team has already chosen both of them:

I think the conflict is more so between them. I don't think anyone else chooses sides. I think we're all on Steve and Tony's side. The conflict is more with them, and we step back and watch it unfold.

Nonetheless, the actor also made it clear that Falcon's story arc will be a continuation of the one that began during the Winter Soldier events. The same confidence and respect which was shown during the second Captain America film will also be seen during the Civil War "“ which leads us to another thing.

As seen in Age of Ultron, Captain America trusts Falcon with finding the Winter Soldier. When asked about this, the actor didn't give a definitive answer. He just said that he isn't allowed to say anything about this issue "“ but we already know.

Anthony Mackie also said that Falcon gets to interact with all the other superheroes, which he certainly found exciting. He also said that his suit got an upgrade, courtesy of Tony Stark, pretty much like all the other Avengers.
