Batman - everybody knows him. Everybody knows his enemies. Everybody wants to see more of him. But what storylines can now be brought on the silver screens, especially since we are treated with an older Batman, a Dark Knight that most likely came back to fight the possible threat of Superman?
This is a question that best can be answered with five impressive storylines, which see the Caped Crusader already established as a crime fighter, a vigilante chased (in some way) by the police and seen as the savior of Gotham.
Batman: The Long Halloween
This would be very interesting to see, since this Batman storylines presents a different side of Harvey Dent - we may call it even a third one, or a blend of his two most well-known. In any way, the movie would see an already established Dark Knight searching for a new criminal of Gotham, who seems to target only the other criminals of the city.
Highly acclaimed by the critics, this storyline would work more as a mystery movie rather than an action one. Which is for the best, considering that Batman isn't any longer in his prime.
Batman: Hush
This is yet another storyline which would work very well as a mystery movie rather than an action one. Sure enough, the comic book features quite a few villains from Batman's rogue gallery. But this is where the magic starts: Hush is the one that pits them all against the Caped Crusader.
With hints of horror, this kind of adaptation would see the Batman facing off an opponent that knows his own identity. Maybe Hush was the one to force the Dark Knight into seclusion from the first place?
Batman: A Lonely Place of Dying
It is about time we saw a good Robin on the silver screens, don't you think? And this might just be the storyline to bring it.
Sure enough, a Red Hood movie sounds very appealing. But, as some rumors go, Jason Todd doesn't exist in the DCMU. In his stead, it was Dick Grayson killed by the Joker. So maybe, just maybe, Tim Drake will establish himself as the new Robin, after seeing that Batman is on a self-destruct course.
With this new Robin at his side, the Dark Knight will be a little more cautious when going out at night.
Batman Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth
This storyline has it all: the most iconic villains, the most terrifying location, the most action, and so on. It is no wonder that Rocksteady decided to start their Arkham series by adapting this storyline. You played the game and you saw that the Dark Knight will find himself locked in the Asylum and fighting against his greatest enemies.
What else could one want?!?
JLA: Tower of Babel
This is one of those comic books that settled Batman as one of the greatest heroes of all times - Tower of Babel and The Dark Knight Returns have also settled him as the one that can take down the entire Justice League.
So what do you think? Are there any other storylines that you want to see on the big screens?
