Robert Downey Jr. was a perfect ringer for the part. He has the right blend of humor, sarcasm, wit and charm to play this role for years to come. He also has the ultra-intelligent delivery of his lines and an air of genius about him that emanates throughout his performance that he is a man to be reckoned with.
