8. Hawkgirl

Rumored to be getting her own show on the CW in the near future, this superhero has never risen to the level of notoriety that she should have commanded. She is a force of nature that is an expert in hand to hand combat. She possesses enhanced strength and unlike the Falcon, she has actual wings she can use to fly.

Hawkman was introduced many years earlier into the DC universe and still maintains a solid cult-like following. Hawkgirl however has yet to build that allegiance with her audience. Perhaps it is a gender issue, where female heroes have a harder time gaining in popularity than their male counterparts.

Getting her own TV show would be a serious feather in the DC cap. If the character of Hawkgirl can follow Supergirl’s recent success, this list could be changing very soon.
