After the debacle called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, can anyone believe what some fans are saying after attending a Suicide Squad test screening? Not really. But it’s still interesting, since this time around, the movie isn't being called groundbreaking, or better than any other comic book movie before it. In other words, if that test screening indeed happened, it didn't surprise those attending the movie in an overly positive way.
Thus, a Reddit user points out that this is an unfinished cut of the Suicide Squad and that is why, maybe, only half of the attendees clapped in the end. As the user notes, the action and (most of the) pacing are top notch. However, there are a couple of characters who don't fit into the overall storyline.
The user goes on to say that David Ayer kind of messed up an emotional Suicide Squad scene.
On the other hand, another Reddit user notes that Suicide Squad is a movie that deserves a sequel, saying that among all of the characters Harley Quinn is the one who steals the show - as everybody has guessed all along. Furthermore, the same user says that there are plenty of reasons for the critics to bash the movie - however, it is also said that a comic book movie fan will not do that.
Lastly, the same user states that Suicide Squad will fix the mess Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made of Batman.
Obviously, there are some other, more than positive, reactions (if we can call them that) to the movie. But, as mentioned, they don't actually count at this point, and not after the other DCEU release of the year. At any rate, what can we take from this is that the movie is an enjoyable one, even if it has a few flaws here and there (as we understand, there are way fewer than in some other movies).
