Spider-Man’s rogues gallery is undoubtedly amongst the most iconic in all of fiction – the fact that so many of them have been depicted on screen is testament to that.

It’s right up there with the likes of Batman’s (Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Two-Face, Bane, Mister Freeze, Ra’s al Ghul et al) and Superman’s (Lex Luthor, Doomsday, Bizarro, General Zod, Metallo, Mister Mxyzptlk, Mongul, Brainiac et al) in terms of how instantly recognisable the majority of the bad guys in it are.

The Webbed Wonder has been forced to go up against some truly nasty foes over the years, including the likes of the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Rhino, Morbius, Kingpin, Lizard, Sandman, Mysterio and Electro.

But not all of Spidey’s villains are so easy to identify – his rogues gallery is so big that there are an abundance of baddies in it that are minor players in comparison to the aforementioned big guns.
