Quicksilver will play an important part in Age of Ultron - perhaps not the centermost, but definitely an important part. And while he and sibling mutant Scarlet Witch will start on Ultron's side, they will renounce their initial allegiance and eventually side with Cap and his team.

But that's one thing those of you who have already seen the movie know by now for certain. You also have the higher ground in respect to another theory.

We shortlisted a few names here, the names of the potential victims of Ultron's rise. We also indicated Quicksilver as one of the possible kills.

In late March, Superhero News came with an exclusive piece of info: they claimed Quicksilver would, indeed, die.

What follows contains some serious spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie, proceed carefully and consider yourself warned.

5 reasons why Marvel could bring Quicksilver back

So, enough with the innuendo! Quicksilver does indeed die in Age of Ultron, sacrificing himself to save fellow Avenger Hawkeye and some kid.

Yeah, it seems rumors stuck eventually. But now the question is: will he stay dead? Here is why I think we will get to see more of Quicksilver in upcoming Marvel movies.

1. First of all, bringing a dead character back to life isn't something new in the Marvel Universe. Why should they stop at Quicksilver? In fact, not to resurrect him would be a much stranger thing to do, since so many others have in the past kicked the bucket and eventually re-emerged.

2. Speed isn't Quicksilver's only skill. As seen in Age of Ultron - or as you'll see, if you haven’t had the opportunity to watch the movie by now - he also has accelerating healing. He's shot but that doesn't seem to impact him at all.

3. This one is more of an Easter Egg: there's one scene in which Steve Rogers says "If you get hurt, hurt them back, if you get killed, walk it off". Then the camera switches to Quicksilver, as if to augur something that will unfold after the fight against Ultron's army and long after it.

Is this a clue Joss Whedon put in the movie on purpose? I surely think so!!!

4. Then there is this awesome artifact: Dr. Helen Cho's cradle, which Hawkeye uses to heal himself. They also use it to bring The Vision to life. Is there any reason why they wouldn't employ the tissue generating machinery on Quicksilver?

I mean, it's just there for the taking: not using it makes no sense.

5. Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been locked in for more than just one movie by Marvel. His multi-picture deal is not a guarantee he'll reprise his role as Quicksilver, and if he does, it could be just a matter of flashbacks. In brief, it does not guarantee he'll come back from the dead.

But still!
