All good things must come to an end, and such is the case with The Flash season 8. Indeed, the eighth go-around for Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen is in the books. Now, it’s a matter of waiting for season 9, which is likely going to be the show’s conclusion. The good news is that those who need to get caught up can do so easily as the season 8 finale is now streaming for free.

The CW typically puts new episodes of its shows up on its website after they air. The even better news is that you don’t need a cable login or anything like that to watch them. You just have to deal with some ads, but that’s a small price to pay to be able to stream the show now. Otherwise, you would have to wait until the full season hit Netflix.
Here is the synopsis for The Flash season 8 finale.
“With The Flash (Grant Gustin) still reeling from everything that just happened, the rest of the team rallies to support him when he needs it the most.”
Marcus Stokes directed the season’s final episode, which was written by Eric Wallace. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight.

As mentioned, The CW has already renewed the show for ninth season. However, it is strongly believed that this is going to conclude the series. In large part because the network is going to be sold soon. So, what can we expect from Barry and team Flash next season? Speaking Comicbook.com, showrunner Eric Wallace said they’re going to up the romance.
“One of the goals for next year is to have maximum fun and up the romance. That’s something I’m looking forward to. In Season 9, the crisis is gone, and Barry and Iris can be back together full time, so bring on the sexy… I do love a good rom-com. People think I just love horror movies. Literally, my second favorite genre is romantic comedies. So, who knows? Maybe we’ll get a little bit of that next year. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.”
The Arrowverse, meanwhile, has shrunk considerably in recent years. Arrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and Naomi have all been canceled. Currently, it’s just The Flash and Superman & Lois, as well as the upcoming Gotham Knights show. We could be nearing the end of this whole journey, but it’s not over just yet.
The Flash season 9 does not yet have a release date.
