The big baddie Thanos has made appearances in three different Marvel Cinematic Universe installments. He made his first appearance in The Avengers of 2012 during the mid-credits. He also appeared in the mid-credit scene of the second Avengers movie - this year's Age of Ultron. Between the two Avengers movies, we saw Thanos once in the James Gunn flick of 2014 - Guardians of the Galaxy.
Well, we know it well that the Mad Titan is the main antagonist of Avengers: Infinity War movies. But will he appear before those movies? Will we see him in the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie? No, we won't! That's what Marvel Studios President confirms in an interview featured in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. Kevin Feige said (via ComicBook):
"I wouldn’t look too hard in [Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2] for Thanos."
Even though we won't be seeing Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we will see new characters in the movie. What new characters would we see in the James Gunn flick? Here's what the Marvel boss had to say about it:
"There’ve been many different incarnations of the Guardians over the years in the comics and we’ll catch a glimpse of additions over the course of the movie."
Thanos Won't be Messing Around Next Time!
Well, we have seen Thanos thrice but we haven't seen him making an impact - doing something devastating. But that's not going to happen again! We'll see Josh Brolin's character in action right away the next time! According to Kevin Feige:
"The next time we see Thanos he will not be messing around. It will be, ‘Oh, that’s why they’ve been teasing this villain for five years."
That's good to hear, isn't it? Enough of teasing him – bring him on and show us how destructive he is!
