Transformers 5 and King Arthur

Transformers: The Last Knight

If you believe there must be a reason for calling the 5th Transformers movie The Last Knight, you’re absolutely right. And if you’ve been a fan of the Transformers franchise and you also love British legends, you will love these new details.

According to the latest JoBlo scoops, the new movie will see Optimus Prime finding the dead planet Cybertron. This isn't all, since he also finds out that he is directly responsible for the planet's death, as well as the means through which he can resurrect it. And here comes the British mythology - by means of a legendary artifact that somehow is tied directly to Merlin, the magician from the King Arthur tales.

According to the website, Merlin was bestowed with magical powers by the Transformers, who are known to have had close connections with Earth throughout history. As far as the artifact is concerned, we can all assume that it is Excalibur - after all, a sword made it into the film's logo.

JoBlo also reports that, while Optimus is on Cybertron, Bumblebee will become the leader of the Transformers on Earth. His team will include Hound, Crosshairs, and Drift. New robots will be featured in the flick, including The Creator, Cogman, and Squeaks, who will all have English accents. As far as the main baddie is concerned, Michael Bay will bring back Megatron.

So the new Transformers flick will see the returning heroes, as well as new ones, with the main story focused on finding Excalibur. The movie will also feature Dinobots, including smaller ones - hopefully, their role will be bigger than it was in the previous flick.
