There can be only one winner, so to speak. Even without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos would literally destroy Thor. In the comics at least, the Mad Titan gave the Hulk a severe beating. And since Hulk and Thor have about the same power levels in the MCU"¦

But then again this scenario, as appealing as it is, is least likely to happen. And the reason is Loki himself "“ he could be yet again one of the Titan's generals, with Thanos making yet another special appearance, this time towards the end of Ragnarok.
