Take this with a grain of salt - but the Star Wars VIII plot has leaked online! So there could be massive spoilers in here - you might not want to check it out and save the surprise for later on.

Still here? Well, according to CBM, the plot of Star Wars VIII revolves around (who else) Luke and Rey. According to the website, there is indeed a connection between them - but not the one you might suspect. Rey does indeed believe that Luke is her father, but it isn't so.
Thus, backtracking, Kylo was seduced by the dark side via Snoke and, together with other trainees at the Jedi Academy, killed all the others. Rey was saved, however, and sent to Jakku. Now here is the twist - everybody believes that Luke is Rey's father, including Rey herself. But, in fact, it is the other way around - the leak says that there is a scene in which Luke actually utters, no, YOU are my father.

For some, this Star Wars VIII twist might not be surprising. However, we will still explain. Apparently, Rey is the reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker, who himself was the reincarnation of previous other Force incarnations. Rey, just like Anakin, is the product of a virgin giving birth, though the midi-chlorians aren't mentioned in the leak.
Apparently, this kind of event happens every time the balance of the Force is disturbed. And, apparently, this happens a bit too often, if the leak proves to be true. Anyway, this Star Wars leak, even if surprising for some, might prove to be too upsetting for all the others.
Luke decided to exile himself after learning this truth, since he believed that training such a powerful Force user was too big of a burden for him. However, when reunited with Rey, he will decide to train her.
Apparently, Star Wars VIII will also feature special appearances from Ewan McGregor and Frank Oz (as the Force ghosts of Obi Wan and Yoda). But this isn't all, since Star Wars VIII will also feature an even more surprising appearance from Hayden Christensen as the Force ghost of Anakin.

Bend your mind around that - if Rey is indeed the reincarnation of Anakin, how could both of them appear in Star Wars VIII? As we mentioned, take it with a grain of salt.
