Planet Of The Apes No Longer A Trilogy!

If you loved "˜Rise of the Planet of Apes' and "˜Dawn of the Planet of Apes', you must be desperately waiting to watch the third in the series which has been announced previously to follow. You must be utterly disappointed if you come to know that there will be no more "˜Planet of the Apes' movies while on the other hand, you must be utterly thrilled to know more than three are coming. Well, "˜Caesar', the leader of apes, pronounces something that will utterly thrill you!

If Not Three, How Many?

Andy Serkis, who plays Caesar in the "˜Planet of the Apes' series, states in a latest talk that the chain might not be just limited to a trilogy, rather there might be single or double sequel to follow the third. Director of Dawn and the upcoming one Matt Reeves has a desire not to pull the curtains down with the third and continue the delight of seeing the apes proceed. He also added that it would be too early to confirm anything as the story of the third movie is still under construction.

Why That Much?

The box office collection of 2011 blockbuster Rise of Planet of the Apes has been 481.8 million USD. Its follow-up, Dawn of Planet of the Apes, released in 2014 has been even a far bigger blockbuster with a collection of 708.2 million USD. If the third one maintains the rise in the graph or at least touch immediate forerunner's collection milestone, why would Matt Reeve and his squad think of bringing an end to the series? Well, as long as fans take pleasure in watching the apes on theatre instead of zoo, Matt should continue adding newer chapters to the Planet of the Apes series!
