Orgrim Doomhammer on the big screen: wow!
Cool, right? How did they come up with such a flawless CGI concept?
As Wired explains, the concept art created by Blizzard Entertainment (creators of World of Warcraft) for the videogame was taken by Industrial Light and Magic and combined with Kazinsky's photos and scans.
Thus, the product is bestowed with an amazing life-like quality: Orgrim will look much more organic than the video game got you used with by now.
Does that sound familiar? Look no further than The Avenger's Hulk: Industrial Light and Magic are the ones who made the Hulk look so expressive on screen.
And director Duncan Jones concludes: "We've gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies", adding "We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely".
Did they choose right?
As to their choice to cast Orgrim like they did, Jones explains: "We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character".
So, with that in mind, what do you think, guys? Does the new Orgrim Doomhammer, as adapted for the big screen, rise to your expectations? Isn't the concept flawless? Have your say below and stay tuned! We'll bring you the hottest scoop on all things Warcraft!
