Olivia Munn Talks Playing Psylocke

Of all of the X-Men: Apocalypse characters, Olivia Munn's Psylocke is probably the most anticipated by the fans. Despite that, we haven't seen too much of this character, neither in the trailer nor anywhere else. Furthermore, we can't say that we know too much about her - several interviews were released on the web, but they all basically say the same thing: her origin story won't be presented in the movie, and she joined Apocalypse of her own free will.

During a Q&A session on Twitter, Olivia Munn answered fans’ questions, about both the film and the actors in it. Check out some of the questions and answers below!

In other news, here’s the first official still showing Psylocke in action and on her own. And she looks pretty good - it is obvious that her psionic blades come straight out of her arms (as Olivia Munn said herself in one of the clips above).

During an interview with Collider, the actress also talks about Psylocke's origin story. According to her, the best place for that story to be told is in a solo movie (even though the character has starred in only one solo comic book series thus far). So, as Munn says, a spin-off movie could be made starting from the point in which the character loses her entire family.

I think if Psylocke had a chance to tell her story, it would be great to start with the genesis and have an understanding"¦I think maybe like right as she’s getting out of university and before her whole family – we jump in right before all of her family is taken out, and we have an understanding of what she had to lose. Then her figuring out her powers and how powerful she is. I think that would be a great thing too, because it’s something that I always loved about her. That she came from a good family and lost everything. Yeah, I would just like to tell that story.

Would you go and see a Psylocke solo flick starring Olivia Munn?
