Old Man Logan – a tribute to the Mutant Cinematic Universe

Granted, Fox doesn’t own any of the major characters from the Old Man Logan storyline. However, the studio doesn’t necessarily need them in order to make it work – it wouldn’t be the first time when a comic book movie has discarded its origins.

The director (as well as the writer, of course) should just keep in mind that Old Man Logan is, in fact, the inner fight between man and beast. In this fight, the man apparently wins.

And this is, basically, Wolverine’s story. The secondary characters don’t count as much as he does, if the Old Man Logan adaptation stays true to the spirit of the original storyline.

Of course, we won’t get to see Wolverine bursting out of a monstrous hulk, but we may get something equally exciting from the Old Man Logan adaptation.
