The Dark Knight is set to return to the silver screen very soon in the latest DC project, batman v superman. Since this title has been released fans have been wondering out loud how this battle would turn out. If they were actually to face off against one another, would Batman be able to somehow defeat the man of Steel?
These questions will be answered soon enough, as the aforementioned film is on its way to theaters in 2016.
Recently however, actor Matt Damon proclaimed that Batman would not be able to beat his character, Jason Bourne. In fact, Damon didn’t pull any punches when he said it"¦
"Jason Bourne would kick the s-– out of Batman "” absolutely! Batman's gotta take on Superman first. If he could beat him then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne."
And there you have it.
So the first question here is whether or not Batman will be able to take the Man of Steel in a fight. At first glance, you would think that an alien from Krypton who is impervious to any sort of wound, pain or injury would be pretty formidable. But the caped crusader is cunning, ruthless and has a ton of billionaire-produced toys.
In the movie Batman vs Superman, these two actually fight each other. From the photos that are circulating, it looks as if Batman can certainly hold his own.
The latest trailer also shows the Dark Knight and the Son of Jor-el going head-to-head. What do you think DC fans?
So to the next point, could Batman defeat Jason Bourne in a fight? Well, let's look at a few facts that we actually know.
Like Matt Damon said, Jason Bourne is deadly. Bourne is the world's most lethal assassin. His government tried to eliminate him. His team turned on him, tried to assassinate him and then left him for dead. He only has fragments of memories remaining, and they come to him in very painful episodes when he seems to need them most. He is a killer. He is a weapon. He cannot be stopped.
Jason Bourne is the most efficient killer in history. He is trained in every mode of fighting and extermination known to man. He fights without reservation. He attacks with the intention of killing. He has no moral qualms about taking a life, especially if his life is threatened.
Batman tries not to kill. He doesn't believe in murder, even when psychotic fiend like the Joker deserve nothing less. It is Batman's conscience that makes him more than a vigilante. It is that moral compass that keeps him on the right side of the line. It is one of the things that make him a hero.
Bourne may have a sniper rifle and laser scope, but Batman has remote control Batarangs, a laser beam cutter, an underwater breathing device and several kinds of exploding projectiles"¦all packed away in his belt.
Either way, it would be one heck of a fight. I would spend $10 for a ticket. Would you?
