Not necessarily. According to other sources than Latino Review, who broke the so called news first, the actor was indeed in negotiations with Marvel. However, the fact that the news was spilled on the internet led to the negotiations falling apart.

How come? It can be presumed at this moment that Jason Statham has asked for a bigger pay after seeing all the buzz surrounding this news. With the fans being so excited, he and his agent must have seen an opportunity to ask for more.

One more thing should be noted – Jason Statham actually named Marvel when talking about superhero movies. Does this mean that he is actually against playing in superhero movies? Or is there something written between the lines?
