From the many picks from the set we have seen for Deadpool, there was one which caught our attention, a pic featuring who we believed it was Colossus. In that pick, Deadpool had a funny argument (or at least it seemed so) with a rather big actor, with Negasonic Teenage Warhead sitting on the side, seemingly bored.
As it was revealed, that was indeed Colossus - although the actor remained hidden until now. Care to know who replaced Daniel Cudmore from the previous X-Men movies?
Colossus revealed by Gina Carano
Gina Carano, who portrays Angel Dust in Deadpool (she is a mutant that controls and can increase her adrenaline level), revealed that Colossus will be portrayed Andre Tricoteux in the first superhero movie of next year. It's no biggie if you don't know who this actor is, because he is actually relatively unknown. Given his imposing physique, he has played various goons and thugs, as well as monsters, in TV movies and series, as well as in B movies.
However, after his role as Colossus in Deadpool, he is set to appear in Warcraft too. Don't expect to actually see him, since he will most likely me motion-captured as an orc war chieftain.
Here is the announcement
Andre Tricoteux was the one to reveal that he was involved in the making of Deadpool, although he didn't reveal his role. It could have been expected for him to do stunt work, just like in Seventh Son.
That’s a wrap for me! Thanks to all the cast and crew. @VancityReynolds @briannahilde @edskrein @ginacarano #Deadpool #Colossus #yvrshoots

However, his tweet was quickly followed by an answer from Gina Carano, who also named him as the best Colossus. You’re the best #Colossus a person could ask for Andre. https://t.co/mObR1L6TDR

It is unknown at this moment how much of the actor will be seen as Colossus. Given the fact that he was wearing a motion-capture suit on the set, it can be believed that, ultimately, the voice of Colossus will be provided by another actor, much like it was with Rocket Raccoon (played by Sean Gunn and voiced by Bradley Cooper) in Guardians of the Galaxy.
