Well, this could be a news - after Anthony Hopkins and Robert Redford, Al Pacino could also make his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor has just revealed that he indeed talked with Marvel boss Kevin Feige and that there could be something for him too in the many movies to be released by the studio.
Of course, as if this movie needed it, Al Pacino also praised Guardians of the Galaxy, saying that it an inventive spectacle, with a Shakespearean feeling to it. Could this be a hint as to what movie the Godfather actor is considering?
Could Al Pacino fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
There is no reason to believe that he couldn't - after all, he is one of the most respectable actors in Hollywood and he literally made history with not just one single movie.
Of course, Al Pacino also said that he won't just jump into any role. The actor said that he will have to see whether or not he understands what he has to do: "I would do anything that I could understand in terms of how I fit in it. And you know, of course if I could fit in it. Anything's possible."
What roles could be perfect for him?
Speaking of Guardians of the Galaxy, the second part will be released in 2017 (on the 5th of May, to be more specific). Maybe Al Pacino could play the part of Star Lord's estranged father - after all, this was the tease with which this year's movies left us with.
Of course, another possibility would be to see him in Doctor Strange, which will be released in 2016 (on the 4th of November), where he could fit perfectly into the role of a mentor.
With all the names which have already appeared in the Marvel movies and with all the actors announced for the future DC productions, casting a legendary actor such as Al Pacino is a must, especially since he says that he is interested in a role.
