Scribe found for Akira?

THR claims Warner Bros will get Akira going, and that they've found a writer to adapt the Japanese story for the big screen.
He is none other than Marco J. Ramirez. His penning feats include Sons of Anarchy, Da Vinci's Demons, and some episodes of Marvel's Daredevil.
In regard to Daredevil, Ramirez has been upgraded to supervising producer now that Steven S. DeKnight left the show for a job at Transformers. That confirms Ramirez is an asset, and it's no wonder Warner Bros eyed him for the job.
Now, the question still remains: do you think they'll westernize the Japanese manga? Will Ramirez keep true to the classic? Have your say below via comments! And don't forget: stay tuned, we'll keep you posted with further news about Akira!
