X-Men: Apocalypse Producer Addresses Footage Leak!

While talking to IGN about the leak of X-Men: Apocalypse footage from San Diego Comic-Con International, the producer of the movie Hutch Parker "“ who was also the president of production for 20th Century Fox "“ denied any chances of the leak to be what the studio intended to happen.
He further claimed that leaking footage that early from the movie's release is "˜not such a good thing' for the studio and production team. He added, "The reason you don't see footage out that far is you run the risk of it getting stale."

The producer also explained the reason why footages are shown at Comic-Con. He said, "I think their (studio's) intention is to get the most important opinions and opinion-makers in this community engaged in the promise of what's coming." He further added:
"You hope that you excite a level of interest that [fans] will express and celebrate it. But it's a scary-ass deal, because they're not shy. If they don't like it, if they aren't feeling it, they're going to let you and everybody else know. [Showing footage] is something people do with trepidation, but with hope."
