Olivia Munn Calls Psylocke Costume VERY SEXUAL!
The recently released first look at Psylocke clearly reveals that the costume is inspired by the character's costumes in the 1990s comics"“ the ones that used to be highly risqué. And the Psylocke cast Olivia Munn doesn't seem to disagree on that "“ she admits straight away but has an explanation to why it hardly matters! Here's what the actress said to Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview:
"Psylocke's outfit or uniform or suit or whatever you want to call it is very sexual. I've got like my thigh-highs and a halter, but the thing about that, and that was important, is that it doesn't matter what I'm wearing as long as we're all aware of who she is. She's very strong and she's very lethal and she's very powerful, and it doesn't really matter what she's wearing as long as you have that strength and that presence."
However, Olivia didn't hesitate to express her annoyance at wearing the skin-tight latex! She doesn't have too much of a trouble wearing the costume now, but she struggled dealing with it in the early days of the filming. Olivia stated:
"Now it fits like a glove, but it's kind of hard because there's been times where I'm pulling and it pops like a balloon, which did happen day one. Day one, I was like, "˜Uh, guys, uh, do we have a backup? Sorry I popped my crotch."
I think this is a wake-up call for Bryan Singer "“ DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THE COSTUMES COMFORTABLE FOR THE STARS! Not one, but two complaints about the costumes already!
