Captain America
Arguably, the most suitable man to wield a Green Lantern power ring in all of Marvel comic books is the super soldier and World War II hero Steve Rogers AKA Captain America.
His willpower and determination is second to none – Captain America will never give up, even in the face of devastating odds (such as when he was prepared to stand up to an Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Thanos when all the other heroes had been defeated). He has broken free of illusions on will alone, he has fought through horrific injuries, he has willed himself back from being dead and you only have to look back to pre-super soldier Rogers to see how determined he was to join the army, despite being small and sickly, to see his willpower in action.
Such is Captain America’s competence and the level of his leadership skills, he’d probably end up becoming the leader of the Green Lantern Corps if he was recruited – and, combined with his vibranium shield, a Green Lantern power ring in his possession would be awesome.
The only problem is, Captain America would probably reject the opportunity to wield such power – rather like Batman did in DC Comics – because he is so humble and grounded. Shame.
