Yellowjacket is out of the closet! The latest Ant-Man artwork focuses on the main character's costume, but it also introduces the antagonist. Now we know who Scott Lang is up against. Of course, we have a clear view of how Ant-Man himself is going to look like. However, the villain, portrayed in a floating stance in the background, grabs all the more our attention. What is Yellowjacket going to do with all those extra arms?

Yellowjacket, not a clear-cut antagonist
Indeed, on the other hand, as Kevin Feige further elaborates, Yellowjacket "is not a villain in the vein of Thanos or Loki, who are villains that know it. [Cross] is a guy who is not that dissimilar from Michael Douglas' character, Hank Pym. A brilliant scientist, who is not ethically pure". In so many words, "I think a great thing about the whole movie is that everybody in this movie is in those shades of gray a little bit", says Feige.
The complexity of this "both cunning and sympathetic" antagonist led to Corey Stoll. Feige seems to be very happy with this choice, convinced Stoll has the "depth" necessary to pull off a multifaceted character. There's no reason to question Stoll's performance, all the more Feige vouches for him. I guess we'll have to wait and see how great a Yellowjacket he's going to portray.
So, Yellowjacket is out in the open. There's a bit of waiting until July 17th, when Ant-Man is due to arrive in theaters and we get to see how everything falls in place. Does Yellowjacket's armor match your expectations? Jump in and let us know if you like it!
