Mark Ruffalo is having a busy time these days promoting Now You See Me 2. Along with his co-star from the recently released movie, Woody Harrelson, Ruffalo was recently interviewed by Collider. Well, if you had the actor in front of you, would you NOT ask a question or two related to his Marvel Cinematic Universe character Bruce Banner, aka Hulk? That's just not going to happen!
During the interview, Mark Ruffalo was asked about the return of his green rage monster in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. In his response, the three-time Academy Award nominee teased a never-before-seen conflict between the two alter-egos, Bruce Banner and Hulk. Here's what he said:
I think the arc that he is ultimately making in his relationship with the Hulk and how that’s gonna resolve itself, that’s really where…nobody has gone to that place. He’s always been running from him or trying to deny it, but they are coming for a collision course with each other, and I think that could be pretty exciting if we can figure out a way, how to do it "” multi-dimensionally.
Ruffalo concluded by saying that Bruce Banner is "the only person in the world" the Hulk is scared of.
Of course, this isn't the first time the 48-year-old actor has said something like that. When he first confirmed his appearance in Thor: Ragnarok, he expressed his desire to see Bruce Banner face off with the Hulk.
This has happened in the comics from time to time, but the consequences were nothing short of disaster. So, it would be interesting to see how Thor: Ragnarok deals with it.
During the interview, Woody Harrelson revealed that he watched Deadpool a few days before, and he thought the movie was "phenomenal". He also expressed "big interest" in being part of a superhero movie.
