Thor: Ragnarok is described by many as a buddy road trip movie in which Thor will team up with Hulk in order to prevent Ragnarok. But it may be a bit difficult at first, especially since nobody knows where the Jade Giant is - most likely, he was magically transported by Hela or Loki to the Grandmaster's planet.
On the set of Thor: Ragnarok, director Taika Waititi teased the one character on the planet who can help Thor teleport. On a New York set, the director released a photo with Chris Hemsworth holding a card with a strange address written on it.
Of course, the director didn't say anything about it, except for the fact that it was just a tease. But why would Thor have the address of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum, then? The best guess was that it will be Stephen Strange who helps the God of Thunder unite with the Green Goliath.
Well, during an interview between Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch another hint was dropped concerning this issue. When asked how it feels joining the cast of the MCU, the Doctor Strange star said that it’s amazing. Nothing amazing about this statement. However, check out the full response below:
I felt it was all about the part rather than everything else. I’ve been to Comic-Con, and it’s a very nice way to give back to the fans that drive these things. It was quite scary. I felt like Pink Floyd. It’s just like, “Hello, hi,” after the fans are all screaming. That side of it is just phenomenal, and it makes me giggle, and I don’t know whether I’ll get used to that. I can’t wait to see how it expands the universe. I’m also part of your crew! It’s an amazing cast of actors. And it’s the most fun hard work you’ll ever do, I think, as an actor. They really know how to treat you right. And the material is challenging, witty, and a lot of fun to do. Doctor Strange is a complex, funny, but exciting character (via CBM).
Was that a confirmation that Doctor Strange will appear in Thor: Ragnarok?
It does seem so, especially when corroborated by the picture released by Taika Waititi. Or Benedict Cumberbatch was talking about the big crew of the MCU…What do you think?
