While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 won’t hit theaters until May 5, 2017, at least one person is already thinking ahead to the franchise’s third installment. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler recently revealed that he wants a role in the third Guardians film.
In a recent interview with People, during which he discussed his role in the upcoming horror movie Happy Birthday, Tyler revealed that he has been pursuing more film projects as of late. Regarding Guardians, he said:
“I hope [audiences] enjoy [Happy Birthday]. I know I did! It made me want to do more movies for sure. I would do anything to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 "” are you listening, James Gunn?”
The first Guardians movie was a huge success at the box office. Star Chris Pratt was a hit with MCU fans, and the light, comedic tone of the film is something Marvel has continued to strive for in subsequent movies.
We’ll have to wait and see if director James Gunn will consider giving Tyler a part in the third film. Would you like to see the Aerosmith frontman make an appearance in the MCU?
