As the final movie in the Thor solo franchise, Thor: Ragnarok will tie up numerous loose ends and set the stage for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest showdown. With 130 minutes of runtime, there will be plenty of time to address anything the previous movies left unresolved.
Journalists who visited the set in 2016 revealed that Taika Waititi would deal with some of these issues. We’re still not sure how he'll solve the Jane Foster problem (without making it seem forced), but we may have learned what Thor’s other friends will do when the end of Asgard actually happens.
Check it out. But beware of spoilers!
According to Brad Winderbaum, a Thor: Ragnarok producer, we’ll see what happens with Sif and the Warriors Three. Now, the most recent official pics reveal the context around the appearance of at least one of them.
In a pic from the film, Hogun (Tadanobu Asano) faces another character who’s flanked by a number of Asgardian soldiers. Hogun has already shown up in the Ragnarok trailers, although at that point, we didn't know who he was. As it turned out, he led the Asgardians when they greeted Hela upon her arrival in Asgard.
The Goddess of Death is at the height of her powers, and she kills one Asgardian after another in the trailers, so it’s safe to assume that Hogun will die a heroic death in the movie. But what about Sif and the other two Warriors? They’re nowhere to be seen! Has Hela already dealt with them? Were they also searching for Odin?
As Winderbaum mentioned, we're about to find out!
Thor: Ragnarok will be in theaters on November 3, 2017.
