Spider-Man: Leaked Casting List

Spider-Man

This was quick. Although Spider-Man won't arrive in a solo adventure until 2017, it appears that Marvel has already approached the actors wanted to star in the film. And while everybody knows that Tom Holland is the new Peter Parker, you will surely be surprised by these reveals.

However, since nothing is official, you should just take it with a pinch of salt. The (trustworthy) sites which uploaded this list quickly took it down. Was it because it was all just a joke? Or was it because these are the actual actors who were approached to appear in Marvel's Spider-Man?

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark

We'll just get this out of the way - the first confirmed cast for Spider-Man is Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Not much of a surprise in here, right?

Although we are wondering how and why he will appear. Tom Holland has already shot his cameo for Captain America: Civil War and the rumor is that he isn't an important player in next year's superhero extravaganza.

Or is he?

On the next page, the new J. Jonah Jameson!

Hugh Laurie as J. Jonah Jameson

While Robert Downey Jr. is already confirmed and waiting to be announced, this isn't the case of Hugh Laurie. According to the leaked list, the actor is in the final negotiations for the role made famous by J. K. Simmons.

So we are up for a good start, right? House does bear a certain resemblance to the Spider-Man character, doesn't he?

On the next page, a future love interest?

Rachel G. Fox as Mary Jane Watson

Rest assured if you haven't heard of her until now - she has appeared mainly in TV series and films. But this could be her shot to stardom, if the list proves to be a valid one. Much like Hugh Laurie, she is also in the final negotiations for the role.

And since Spider-Man will be released in about 2 years"¦

On the next page, the friend!

Timothée Chalamet as Harry Osborn

Yet another great unknown, the young Timothée Chalamet has appeared in Interstellar as the 15 year old Tom (the character portrayed by Casey Affleck).

Not much can be said - however, check out the next page for a first villain!

Billy Zane for Vulture

As Kevin Feige said, the studio will focus its attention on those villains that haven't been featured yet in any Spider-Man films. And while there are many Spider-Man rogues out there, Marvel seems to have settled for a villain teased in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

And that is none other than Vulture. According to the leaked list, Adrian Toomes (also known as Vulture) will be portrayed by"¦

No, it is not Ben Kingsley, like some fans have said. Instead, it is Billy Zane. In this way, the studio is in the final negotiations with the actor. If this is true, then we can count him in.

On the next page, a second villain!

And then there's this guy

The same leak says that Marvel is in the final negotiations for yet another lead actor, this time for the role of Marc Gargan, also known as Scorpion. And just like Vulture, this one will be also portrayed by an actor whose star has faded: Jason Biggs.

Before saying that this list is complete bull, remember how RDJ was before becoming Tony Stark…

What do you think? Should we take this leak into account? Or was someone pulling the fans' leg?
