Even after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it’s no surprise that Spider-Man will be back. In fact, the still-untitled sequel will be the first movie released post-Avengers 4, so it follows that Peter Parker's next adventure will address whatever happens in that film.
Reddit user AHarbingerOfStuff recently reported that a reliable source had confirmed that this is indeed the case. Check it out below, but be warned that spoilers may be ahead!
AHarbingerOfStuff explained that Parker is mourning Tony Stark's death in Avengers 4. The Reddit user added that Stark had created a powerful piece of technology prior to his death.
Mysterio, an international thief and master of illusion, steals the invention for his employer, who’s reportedly a major comic book character. That villain’s identity – and that of the actor who’ll take on the role – will be kept under wraps until the movie’s release, but fans are hoping that the Homecoming sequel will lead into a Sinister Six team-up. If that happens, Scorpion and Vulture are almost certain to appear.
Alistair Smythe (a new, manipulative student and son of a Stark employee) and Jessica Drew (an expert in combat and tactics who’s pursuing Mysterio). We can also expect MJ, Ned, Liz, Flash, Aunt May, and Pepper Potts to appear.
According to Reddit’s AHarbingerOfStuff, the Spider-Man sequel’s working title is Spider-Man: Field Trip, and it’s set mainly in London.
Of course, this is a Reddit post, so be sure to take everything with a grain of salt. But it seems plausible, doesn't it?
