You might already know that Marvel recently arranged an early press screening in Los Angeles for Captain America: Civil War. The critics attending the event have spoken highly of the movie and its new Spider-Man in their Twitter reactions. Some of them have also suggested that Tom Holland's character has a greater role in the movie than a cameo.
And now, Mike Sampson, Editor-in-Chief at Screen Crush, reveals the projected time the webslinger will spend onscreen in the May 6 release. According to Sampson, the character appears for around 30 MINUTES! We will see Holland as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War for around 10 MINUTES and for the remaining 20 MINUTES, we'll see him as Spider-Man. Check out Sampson’s tweet below!
@MarvelousRealm That’s about right. Maybe 10 mins of Parker, a good 20 mins of Spidey.

If that is true, we can no longer call his role “a bit more than cameo”! It's a LOT more than a cameo! The character has more screen time in Civil War than Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and Paul Bettany's Vision had in Avengers: Age of Ultron! Only three characters - Chris Evans' Captain America, Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man and Scarlet Johansson's Black Widow - appeared on screen for more than half an hour in that movie.
But, obviously, we must remember that this Spider-Man screentime could be an exaggerated number…in fact, that's very likely. Hardly anyone calculates a character's screentime during their first screening of a movie.
But even if the webslinger appears onscreen for around 20 to 25 minutes, it's still a great deal of time. Vision had eight minutes and 41 seconds in Age of Ultron, and that's the number we had assumed at best for Spider-Man in the Russo Brothers flick.
