The second Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer, which gives Ghost the opportunity to show off her powers, just popped up online.
Released in January, the first trailer provided a brief glimpse of Hannah John-Kamen in her character’s mask and suit. Ghost, who’s actually male in Marvel Comics, wears a suit that enables him to become invisible or intangible. He also has the ability to place anyone or anything he touches in the same state.
Ant-Man and the Wasp’s first trailer gave no hint of the villain’s powers, but the new one includes shots of Ghost in action and without her mask. The action shots have her phasing through both a glass door and a moving car, and beating the living daylights out of the titular superhero (Paul Rudd).
In addition, a conversation between Luis (Michael Peña) and Hank Pym reveals that Ghost has stolen a piece of technology from Pym for the purpose of taking over the world, or whatever. By the way, it appears that Luis is moving up in the world, as he and pals Dave (T.I.) and Kurt (David Dastmalchian) are now running X-Con Security Consultants together.
The trailer also gives us our first official look at villain Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins) as Giant-Man chases him and a gang of goons after they steal Pym's shrunken lab building. In addition, it introduces Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), who tells Scott Lang that he was Goliath at one time. Size comparisons ensue, much to Hope van Dyne’s annoyance.
The first trailer was heavy on Wasp action, and the second is no different. In one sequence that brings to mind a certain scene from Deadpool, she completely owns four bad guys in a car. She also teams up with Ant-Man to take down several baddies. There are also hilarious shots of Giant-Man looming over a ferry full of people and an oversized ant who drums like a pro.
