While you know it well that you can watch Deadpool in the theaters from this 12 February, what you don't know is how long first solo outing of the Merc with a Mouth would run on-screen? What is the running time of Deadpool? Has it been revealed? Yes, it finally has been!
The running time of the movie is 106 minutes, or 1 hour and 46 minutes! The official website of 20th Century Fox for Spain has listed the movie's runtime. It's clear that Deadpool isn't going to be one of the longest movies from X-Men Universe. X-Men movies like Days of Future Past, First Class, The Wolverine and X-2 had runtime of more than two hours.
But it isn't going to be the shortest movie in the X-Men Universe either. The first X-Men movie of 2000 and the third one - The Last Stand - were two minutes shorter than Deadpool. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a minute longer - 1 hour and 47 minutes long. And the runtime of Josh Trank's disastrous Fantastic Four and Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2 were 1 hour 40 minutes and 1 hour 43 minutes respectively.
So, there have been both shorter and longer movies than the upcoming Tim Miller flick from 20th Century Fox. Since it is a standalone movie and not loaded with too many superheroes, the running time of the movie is pretty reasonable. Again, whatever be the runtime, if a movie is packed with entertainment, it is worth watching. Hopefully, we will all love the 106 minutes of Deadpool!
