RUMOR – Deadpool 2 To Begin Filming In Fall 2016!

Deadpool 2 kicks off filming this fall

We already know that a Deadpool sequel is coming but it seems like it is coming very soon! The latest rumor suggests that the sequel will kick off its filming THIS fall! Heroic Hollywood's Umberto Gonzalez has come up with the rumor.

According to his sources, lead actor Ryan Reynolds has just sealed a deal with 20th Century Fox for Deadpool 2. Although he was signed for it already, he's renegotiated his contract to up his wages for portraying the character in future, including that in the sequel.

That makes complete sense because before Reynolds signed for Deadpool, it was a project that spent years in the studio's shelves. He made not more than $2 million upfront. Now, it's the most successful R-rated movie of all time as well as the highest grossing X-Men installment ever. So, the Canadian actor definitely deserves a significant up in his compensation for the future flicks.

And if this rumor stands, Deadpool 2 might hit the theaters on January 12, 2018 - one of the two dates the studio added in their timeline a few weeks ago for releasing untitled Marvel movies.

Even though the Merc with a Mouth's standalone movie has shattered the box office, it wasn't the first time he appeared on big screen. He made his debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine"¦ a nightmare all of us would love to wipe out from our memory bank! Gavin Hood, the director of that particular movie, spoke recently to Cinema Blend and explained why his version of the character didn't work while the latest one worked so well. According to the director:

I think the character works so well now, because the character is allowed to be who the character really is, unencumbered by, you know, PG-13 requirements and a great deal of marketing debate.

Gavin claimed that Tim Miller and his team were able to make the movie "below the radar" unlike him and they could "take control of their character". He added:

Deadpool is a motor mouth, foul mouth character, and it's very difficult with these big movies to, when you have to work within certain parameters that are set by, by"¦

When asked if it was the studio heads that set those parameters, he responded:

Thank you. Thank you.

Obviously, from what Gavin Hood states, it appears as if the studio had sewed his mouth shut during X-Men Origins: Wolverine just like his version of Deadpool!
